RETURN ON INVESTMENT WITH GCF PROGRAM

In the Spring of 1992 a cost evaluation of the GCF Filters and P/PM Program at the Bay Marchand Field was performed by OMSG personnel and this report demonstrated a twelve (12) month savings of over $ 40,000.   The following is a list of equipment outfitted with the GCF Filters within the Bay Marchand Field.

A.       GCF By-pass Lube Oi1 Filters for Eight (8) Waukesha Natural Gas engines and three (3) platform cranes engines.

B.       GCF By-pass Hydraulic Filters for three (3) platform cranes and one (1) Water Flood Pump.

C.       GCF By-pass Hydraulic Filters for three (3) platform cranes and one (1) Water Flood Pump.

D.      GCF Fuel Filter/Water Separator Filters for four (4) platform crane diesel engines.

Some of the areas in examples of some of the consideration for this cost which savings were experienced and cost items that were taken into evaluation are as follows:

A.       New lube oil purchases.

B.       Factory filter purchases.

C.       Disposal cost of used oil.

D.      Transportation cost of new and used lube oil.

E.       Downtime to prudent equipment.

F.        Savings on maintenance manhours.

G.      Savings on complete oil analysis samples required.
