This letter was sent to a GCF dealer in Costa Rica: November 1997
“I am pleased to inform you that we have successfully used Gulf Coast by-pass
filters on many of our offshore platforms for the last five years.
We have installed them on our offshore cranes and several compressors,
also we have at least 5 large portable units that allow them to be moved from
one job to the other. One of the
first installations on a platform just offshore from Grand Island, LA.
Saved approximately $50,000 in lubricant cost, downtime, labor and filter
replacement expenses. This does not
account for cost of transportation and shipping.
Don Culpepper and Charlie Sims both have been very, very helpful in
helping us develop an extended oil drain interval policy utilizing Gulf Coast
Filters bypass filtration. All of our oil
analysis have indicated that our extended oil drain intervals has not affected
the performance or reliability of our engines.
